If you’re shopping for VPN deals you’ve probably decided you can’t get away with using a free one. And you’d be right: the limited choice of servers, which are always overloaded doesn’t equate to a good service. Plus, most free VPNs don’t unblock Netflix or other streaming services.

The alternative is to pay for a subscription, and there are some great Cyber Monday deals around.

But there is a way to avoid subscriptions: get a lifetime deal. Not many VPN services offer these, but this crazy offer from FastestVPN might just be the best deal we’ve seen for ages.

For just $20, which is about £15, you get lifetime access to the full service (with around 350 servers in over 40 countries) for 15 devices.

FastestVPN unblocks US Netflix (and other streaming services) and also supports P2P downloads.

Get FastestVPN's lifetime deal for $20 / £15

Privacy-wise, there's the usual no-logs policy but you can pay with crypto if you want to remain anonymous to FastestVPN.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also get  2TB of encrypted cloud storage thrown in, although that’s only for the first 12 months.

If you’re not happy, there’s a 15-day money back guarantee, so there’s really no reason not to give FastestVPN a try.

1. FastestVPN Lifetime plan

From: FastestVPN

Was: $600

Now: $20  (97% off)

Unlike most VPN deals which are subscriptions for a set number of years, FastestVPN's is for a lifetime subscription. This is exactly what it sounds like: you pay once and have access to the VPN service for as long as you live.

And for just $20 - around £15 - that's unbeatable.

Plus, you'll get a year's cloud storage thrown in - 2TB with Internxt - and a password manager.

FastestVPN isn't the absolute best VPN service around: it's not the fastest and has far fewer locations and servers than most. But it says it unblocks Netflix, iPlayer, Disney+, Amazon Prime and other streaming services, and allows you to connect up to 15 devices to the service simultaneously.

There's even a 15-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it out and - if you like it - you'll have a VPN for life for less than the cost of most rivals' single-year prices.

2. KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Lifetime plan

From: KeepSolid

Was: $199.99

Now: $99.99  (50% off)

If you want to avoid paying a perpetual subscription for a VPN, then here's another lifetime deal. Usually $199.99, KeepSolid is discounting a lifetime plan to VPN Unlimited by 50%.

So for $99.99 (around £75) you use this VPN on your devices forever.

Like FastestVPN, VPN Unlimited doesn't have the same number of servers or the same coverage as NordVPN and other rivals (it has around 500 in 80 countries), but it does  provide 24/7 live tech support, allows P2P downloads, has WireGuard - the latest and fastest encryption protocol - and the promise of a no-log policy.

3. Ivacy five-year VPN subscription

From: Ivacy

Was: $597 / £480

Now: $60 / £44.40  (90% off)

Ivacy's deal is one of the best around, knocking a whopping 92% off the usual monthly price.

It's a five-year subscription that works out at $1 per month, which is 74p if you're in the UK. That's an up-front payment of $60 / £44.40 which is a real bargain.

Ivacy offers a great service which supports P2P downloads, unblocks streaming services (including Netflix and Disney+) and, like any VPN service, gives you security when using public Wi-Fi and privacy when browsing the web.

It's one the cheapest VPN deals around and, as a bonus, you also get 2TB of encrypted cloud storage and a password manager included for the first year!

4. PureVPN two-year subscription

From: PureVPN

Was: $262.80 ($10.95 per month)

Now: $47.76 ($1.99 per month)  (82% off)

PureVPN is offering 82% off the monthly price. This means the two-year subscription will cost you $47.76 (£35.28).

As with all these deals, you pay for the full subscription up front – not monthly. The monthly cost, for comparison, works out at $1.99/£1.47, which is quite competitive.

But if you're using a desktop web browser and move your cursor off the page you should see an "insane" 5-year deal appear which works out at just $1.50 per month (£1.11), but of course the total price is higher as it's for 60 months rather than 24.

Previously we've seen PureVPN offer an even better five-year deal, but that's not available right now. It cost $79.80 (£59.95) and the monthly cost was $1.33/£0.99.

5. NordVPN two-year subscription

From: NordVPN

Was: $286.80 / £212.16

Now: $79 / £70.15  (72% off)

NordVPN is offering 72% off its 2-year plan for the holiday season. This is the same discount it was offering on Black Friday.

NordVPN tops our round-up of the best VPN services you can buy, and its NordLynx protocol (based on WireGuard) offers huge speeds - if your internet connection is fast enough to take advantage of them.

The UK prices shown here include VAT, which is why the price initially appears cheaper when you click through to Nord's website.

6. Surfshark two-year subscription

From: Surfshark

Was: $310.80 / £215.76

Now: $59 / £53.14  (81% off)

For its Winter Sale, Surfshark is offering 81% off its two-year subscription.

This isn't the absolute best deal we've ever seen from the service, but it's still a great price for two years' access to a great VPN service, which is also one of the few which doesn't put a limit on the number of devices you can use with it at the same time.

7. Atlas VPN Premium 3-year subscription

From: Atlas VPN

Was: $359.64 - approx £269.64

Now: $49.99 - approx £37.75  (86% off)

Atlas VPN is a relatively new services, but it recently expanded from 18 to 32 locations including Japan, with Netflix support.

It doesn't tick as many boxes as NordVPN or Surfshark, but if you're just looking for the lowest monthly price, then this deal should be tempting, especially as Atlas VPN doesn't put any restrictions on the number of devices you can use with the service at the same time.

For the holiday season, it's offering an additional three months free on top of the discounted three-year subscription.

8. Hidden24 two-year subscription

From: Hidden24

Was: £119.76

Now: £78.96 (£3.29 per month)  (44% off)

Hidden24 is a VPN service with a difference: it doesn't require an app. It will suit anyone wanting a VPN for absolute privacy as it logs precisely nothing.

Your device will need to support a VPN connection natively, but Windows, Android, iOS and macOS all do.

Hidden24 is also a great option if you don't want to sign up for a long time: it's around half the cost of its rivals if you just need a VPN for a month.
