The new NBCUniversal streaming service - Peacock - will be available on Google platforms such as Android, Android TV devices, Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices from 15 July 2020.
Customers with these devices will get the free tier of Peacock, with over 7,500 hours worth of content including films, shows and on-demand content. But that’s not all - Android and Android TV users will also get a three month trial of Peacock Premium which has double the amount of content as the free version. This trial will end on 15 October 2020.
Once the promotion has finished, users can subscribe to Peacock Premium for $4.99 per month on a rolling contract for ad supported content, or $9.99 for the ad free version of Peacock Premium.
The streaming platform initially launched for Comcast's Xfinity X1 and Flex customers back in April, and will launch to the rest of the US on browsers on 15 July as well. The service will carry some of the NBC classics such as Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, as well as blockbusters including Jurassic Park, Do the Right Thing, and Shrek.
In addition, the Premium tier will also carry a host of original programming such as the Battlestar Galactica reboot and the 30 Rock reunion episode. There will also be daily highlights from channels such as TODAY, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, E! News and Access Hollywood.
