Whether you’re looking for a pre-Christmas bargain to set up before you get the big shop in, or you’re simply seeking somewhere to escape from an awkward interview, we’ve found a few very solid deals on large and tall fridge freezers. Please bear in mind that we haven’t reviewed these appliances’ performance – it’s all about the price.
Littlewoods has a very deep discount on the Hisense RR220D4AB21 tall fridge in black. It’s on sale for £204.99, down from £329.99 – a saving of £125 or 38%.
Bear mind that this is a no-frills number with a small ice box and few additional features. That being said, it's a very sleek-looking appliance.
Very is selling the Samsung RF56M9540SR/EU family hub multi-door fridge freezer in stainless steel for £3,499.99, down from £4,299.99. That’s £800 off, or 23%. It’s a connected device with a screen on its door that allows you to mirror whatever is showing on a Samsung TV, should you have one.
The fridge also functions as a hub that allows you to monitor other smart devices, such as your heating or doorbell. And the cameras inside the appliance mean that you can check its contents from your phone while you’re out, which is a great feature.
It has an A+ energy rating and a total capacity of 550 litres.
Amazon is selling the Samsung RS52N3313WW freestanding American fridge freezer for £868.93, down from £1,099. That’s a saving of £231.06 or 21%.
The fridge freezer has a stainless steel finish, is rated A+ for energy efficiency, and is frost-free. Its digital inverter compressor consumes less energy than a traditional compressor, so it won’t be so hard on your electricity bill. And at 520 litres, it’s likely to be capacious enough to house even your portliest politician.
Very is also selling the Hisense Total no frost American fridge freezer SSL with water and ice dispenser for £699.99, down from £819.99. That’s £120, or 15%, off.
The Hisense has an A+ energy rating, an inverter compressor and a total net capacity of 535 litres. It’s also got an open door alarm, which we think is a nice touch.
Currys PC World has a really good deal on the BEKO Pro LP1671DB tall fridge, in glossy black. It’s currently on sale for £360, down from £429. That’s £60 off, or 14%.
This fridge has an A+ energy rating and a gross capacity of 415 litres. In terms of extra features, it has an integrated water dispenser.
John Lewis is offering an extra three year guarantee (it comes with a standard two years) on the Siemens KS36VVW3P tall larder fridge. It’s priced at £647 and has an A++ rating.
Argos is selling the Hisense RR220D4AD21 tall fridge for a very reasonable £159.99, which the site says is its best-ever price for the appliance. It comes in silver, black and red, has a 149 litre capacity and a 15 litre freezer compartment. Its energy grade is A++.
When is Black Friday 2020 - should you wait for a better deal?
Black Friday will take place on Friday 27 November, immediately followed by Cyber Monday on 30 November. Traditionally the biggest sales event of the year, it may yet throw up some even greater tech deals - but with so much uncertainty around finance and retail, and no guarantees regarding what discounts we will see, we advise you not to wait: if you see a deal you like, on a product you need, and you can afford the outlay, buy it today.
