What to expect from the OnePlus 6

Following on from the 5T launch in New York, the OnePlus 6 will be unveiled in London and the tag line for the event is 'The Speed You Need'. One again, the firm sold tickets so fans could attend the event at The Copper Box, Olympic Park.

Although most smartphone makers refresh their line-up annually, OnePlus is sticking to a much shorter six month cycle. So you might not have had the 5T or even the 5 for long, but there's about to be a new model.

That short period hasn't stopped the rumour mill and there are plenty of interesting thoughts about what the OnePlus 6 will be like.

Images appear to have shown that the headphone jack remains and there's also talk of a glass back to enable wireless charging.

It's also thought that the OnePlus 6 might get an upgrade to proper waterproofing and that the screen will move to a 19:9 aspect ratio, complete with a notch like many others including the iPhone X.

Let's not forget that OnePlus also makes other products, like headphones, so we might see more than just a new phone.
