A messed up year for sports means that we have the conclusion to the basketball season taking place in October. Following a long delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA Finals have arrived with the LA Lakers taking on Miami Heat.
While the time difference is awkward (get the coffee ready), there are several ways for UK fans to watch the NBA Finals online. Current score: LA Lakers 3 - 1 Miami Heat
NBA Finals UK TV channel and streaming
This year, the basketball finals are no longer on BT Sport. Sky has got the rights to show it in the UK so you'll be able to watch all the NBA Finals games on Sky Sports channels. Here are the fixtures:
- Game 5: Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Lakers - 2am BST, 10 Oct - Sky Sports Main Event/Arena
- Game 6: Los Angeles Lakers @ Miami Heat - 12:30am BST, 12 Oct - Sky Sports Arena (if needed)
If you're already a Sky customer with sports channels then you can watch on various devices using services like Sky Q or Sky Go.
Don't worry if you just want to watch the NBA Finals though, as you can use Now TV to avoid signing up to a full-on contract and getting a satellite dish installed.
Now TV is Sky's streaming service and is available on a wide range of devices - over 60. You can get various Sky Sports passes ranging from a day to a month. You'll simply get access for the time period you choose and it includes access to all the sports channels so you can watch more than the NBA.
Since the Finals could spread over two weeks, we'd recommend getting the Month Pass for £33.99. You might also consider the current offer of four months for £25 per month. Take a look at all the Now TV passes.
Your other option is to use NBA League Pass which will cost you £24.99. Just bear in mind that this is only for watching NBA, whereas Now TV has all the Sky Sports channels so you can watch other sports like the NFL too.
Watch from abroad
If you want to watch from outside the UK then you'll need a VPN to do so. The virtual private network will allow your device to effectively be browsing from the UK.
