Awards season is finally upon us, and for the British film industry, the BAFTAs are the cream of the crop. Whilst UK viewers will be able to watch along on BBC One, viewers from other countries may not have the same luxury.
Fortunately, we've investigated to find out exactly how all viewers can tune in, no matter where they are in the world. We have a similar guide for watching The Oscars.
When are the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards?
The 2022 BAFTA Film Awards will be held on Sunday 13 March 2022, with exact timings to be revealed in the coming weeks. The event will be live from London's Royal Albert Hall, as usual.
Which channel are the BAFTAs on?
If you're in the UK, the show will be aired live on BBC One and BBC One HD in the UK. There will also likely be a shorter, highlights show after the ceremony has finished.
How to watch the BAFTAs online and on mobile
If you're in the UK and pay the licence fee, the easiest way to watch the BAFTAs online will be through BBC iPlayer, which you can use to watch BBC One live.
This will also be the best way to watch the awards live if you're outside the US. You'll want to use a VPN like NordVPN, currently our recommended VPN for iPlayer, which will let you browse as if you're based in the UK, and access iPlayer as normal.
You can also take a look at our list of recommended free VPN's, but the limited server options will make streaming quite difficult.
As always, bear in mind that this is breaking the BBC's terms of service, so proceed at your own risk. You'll also need to set up a free iPlayer account, which requires a valid UK postcode.
Who is hosting the BAFTA Awards?
The host of the 75th BAFTA Awards will be Rebel Wilson, the comedian and actress best known for Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect and Jojo Rabbit. She's also gone viral several times when presenting awards on stage at the ceremony, so she is a natural fit.
The red carpet coverage of the event will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Tom Allen.
Who are the BAFTA nominees?
The final shortlist nominations for the BAFTAs will be revealed on 3 February 2022. You can view the longlists over on the BAFTA website.
It's worth noting that Spider-Man: No Way Home is not up for any awards, as it did not meet the eligibility criteria by not being available on the BAFTA streaming platform for voters to view. Sony didn't allow access for fear of the film being pirated.
That aside, there are some other major films currently up for consideration. Some of the early favourites to pick up awards include Belfast, The Power of the Dog and Tick, Tick...BOOM!
Here's the current longlist of the best film nominations - this list will be whittled down to just five nominees on 3 February.
Being The Ricardos
Don't Look Up
House of Gucci
No Time To Die
The French Dispatch
The Lost Daughter
The Power of the Dog
The Tragedy of Macbeth
West Side Story
