If you don’t use any special software and just want a basic user experience, Chromebooks are an excellent option.
They tend to be less complicated than most Windows or macOS devices, yet offer everything many people are looking for from a laptop. Chromebooks aren’t exclusively cheap devices anymore, but most are at the affordable end of the market.
Despite this, there are still plenty of great deals available throughout the year. One of the big ones is Amazon Prime Day, a two-day sales event that usually takes place in June or July.
As the name suggests, deals are exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers, although there is a free 30-day trial if you’ve never signed up before. After the month is up, you can expect to pay $139/£95 per year or $14.99/£8.99 per month, but there are lots of other benefits.
Another Prime Day isn’t expected until mid-2023, meaning any deals you see below are available to everyone. However, prices are prone to changing at any time.

The capable Chromebook x2 is a great all-rounder for everyday use, and it’s much more appealing after this significant discount. However, do be aware that there’s only 64GB of storage.

Asus C423NA Chromebook (refurbished)
If you don’t mind a refurbished model, this is an excellent offer. The C423NA Chromebook is a great affordable option, especially with a huge 60% off compared to buying new.
