At their normal prices Fire TV Sticks are affordable, but everyone loves a bargain.
And the good news is that Amazon’s media streaming devices – better known as Fire Sticks – are discounted fairly regularly.
Fire Sticks, or Fire TV Sticks to give them their proper name, plug into your TV and let you watch Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix and many other streaming services besides. They also have Alexa built in, so you can ask the virtual assistant to find shows, control playback, and do many other things, including controlling smart home devices.
The best time to get a Fire Stick at a cheap price is on Prime Day, Amazon’s two-day sale event which – in 2022 at least – it held twice. It also discounts its hardware for seasonal events such as Black Friday and Christmas holidays. We expect the next Prime Day to be in June/July 2023.
Non-Prime members will see the regular prices for discounted devices on Prime Day, but that doesn’t always apply to Amazon’s own devices, which have been discounted for everyone in the past. However, you can get a free 30-day trial if you haven’t subscribed to Prime before and then you’ll be able to take advantage of all discounts.
At the same time Fire Sticks are on offer, there are usually some great deals on Amazon Echos, and Amazon’s Ring security devices which are well worth a look.
