Audio-Technica’s new wireless Bluetooth headphones aim to offer a premium experience at a budget price.
Inspired by the top-selling professional M Series studio wired headphones, the ATH-M20xBT offer the same sonic signature sound as their wired counterpart, the ATH-M20x, without the cable. And they cost under £100/$100 with change to spare.
The ATH-M20xBT come with large 40mm drivers with “rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils tuned for enhanced low-frequency performance”. This should mean good bass response for all the EDM (electronic dance music) lovers.
Furthermore, the headphones offer a whopping 60-hour battery life meaning you’re unlikely to run out of juice even if you’re catching multiple long-haul flights. And if you’re low on power, a 10-minute charge can get you three hours of playback – enough to get you from London Heathrow to Rome.

Audio-Technica says the headphones are easy to operate with a microphone and buttons built into the left earcup. There’s also a 1.2m cable in the box in case you want to use them with a device that doesn’t have Bluetooth.
There’s Bluetooth 5.0 and Multipoint Pairing so you can easily use the ATH-M20xBT with two devices seamlessly. Low latency means you won’t find any lag between visual and audio when watching videos or playing games.
Those interested in the Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT can buy them starting today from the official store priced at £79.99/$79/€89.
