Amazon Prime Video customers can now access Discovery+ via its Channels service by adding it as an extra subscription. The channel is rolling out now to the Prime library across the UK.
The new Amazon channel joins the likes of Starzplay, Hayu and Shudder – a series of streaming services that can be accessed
directly through the Amazon Prime Video library.
The benefit of signing up for a service as a Prime Channel is that you don’t have to worry about multiple apps on different devices – everything is in one place. You can read more in our
guide to Amazon Channels.
If you’re not aware of Discovery+, this streaming service features a range of factual and drama shows and films, including Gold Rush, Ghost Adventures and 90 Day Fiancé. You can also add sports channels including Eurosport onto your package – Discovery+ was the streaming home for the
Tokyo 2020 Olympics earlier this year.
Customers can either choose the Entertainment package for £4.99 per month, or the Entertainment and Sport joint package for £6.99 per month. These Amazon Prime channels can be cancelled at any time.
If you’re not yet signed up to
Amazon Prime, you can either get the standalone video streaming subscription for £5.99 per month or opt for the full Prime subscription for next-day delivery, flash sales and more for £7.99 per month. New subscribers get a
month-long free trial, whilst
students get a hefty discount.
