The big phone companies have had a quiet week, but that’s just left spaces for oddities like the Freedom Phone and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Insiders handset to creep out.
The Freedom Phone is an “uncensorable” phone from self-declared Bitcoin millionaire Erik Finman. The specs are vague and we’re not sure how it’s supposed to work, but it does have an operating system “based on free speech”. And we think the Stars & Stripes wallpaper might come included too.
Only slightly less ridiculous is Qualcomm’s Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. This is a flagship Android device built by Asus that’s built for devs and Snapdragon superfans – and you’d have to be a superfan to drop $1500 on it.
Finally, we’ll turn to a phone we trust a little more: the Realme GT. Chris has been busy reviewing the racing striped wonder so we’ll have all his thoughts on this year’s most powerful mid-ranger, plus the latest rumours on the upcoming GT Master Edition.
