Laptops are one of the most regularly discounted products this Amazon Prime Day, but genuinely great deals are often few and far between. However, that’s not the case this year.
Many of Samsung’s latest and greatest laptops have seen their prices slashed, including the Galaxy Book Ion. The 15.6in model with an Intel i5 processor is now down to just
£649 in the UK. That’s less than half its usual price, saving you an incredible £650.

If you’re looking for a smaller screen, it’s also good news. The 13.3in model with the same i5 CPU comes with a heft £500 discount – it’s now available for just £729.
The Galaxy Book Ion is every inch a premium laptop. Both screen sizes pack a Full HD (1920×1080) QLED display, complete with touch support. That powerful Intel processor combines with powerful UHD integrated graphics and 8GB for solid all-round performance, while a 512GB SSD is plenty of space for all your files. You also get a 720p webcam, fingerprint scanner and sizeable 69.7Wh battery – it’s a superb option as your main PC.
However, it’s far from the only Samsung laptop deal this Amazon Prime Day. The 13.3in Galaxy Book Flex is now down to just £749 – that’s a staggering £600 off the RRP. What’s more, an even bigger discount can be found on the 15.6in version. It’s down from £1,549 to just £899, packing an i7 processor for good measure.
In our 9/10 full review, we described the Flex as ‘a great everyday laptop for many years to come’. It may have since been replaced by the Galaxy Book Flex 2, but there’s no reason for most people to pay more than double the price for a similar device.
The Galaxy Book S might be the latest in the series, but it’s also seen prices plummet. Discounts are modest in comparison to the Ion and Flex, but you can still get £425 off the 256GB model and £450 off the 512GB version. Its strengths lie in an extremely portable design, attractive display, with an Intel Core i5 chip avoiding the performance issues in the ARM-based model we tested.

Samsung may have released a new lineup of Galaxy Book devices for 2021, but these laptops remain excellent buys. They’re just a few of the range of Amazon Prime Day discounts already available, including many great laptop deals.
