Last month, Microsoft announced the new Surface Laptop 4. It now offers more choice of both Intel and AMD silicon and claims significant battery life improvements, but much of the device remains the same. It still has the tried-and-trusted design, high resolution display and solid port selection.
For a few people, stepping up to the Surface Laptop 4 will be worth it. However, if you’re looking for a great everyday device, its predecessor remains a great option, especially at these discounted prices. Over at the Microsoft Store, there are some excellent deals across the Surface Laptop 3 lineup. The cheapest configuration now comes in at just £795, while you can save up to £585 on high-end models.

Despite launching back in 2019, the Surface Laptop 3 remains one of the best portable PCs you can buy. In our 8/10 review, we praised its solid performance, stylish design and the addition of a new 15in model. The powerful Intel/AMD chips and impressive audio credentials hold up well in 2021, while all configurations are lightweight and portable.
Typically, the high asking price has led consumers to look elsewhere for a new laptop. However, that no longer needs to be the case. The entry-level i5 model (13.5in, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD) offers an excellent everyday laptop experience, and now starts at just £795. That’s a £204 discount on the usual asking price.
However, even steeper discounts can be found on more expensive models. A 15in variant powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5 3580U processor is down to £1,274 with a £425 discount. Then there’s an amazing £575 discount on a 13.5in i7 model with 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD – now down to £1,364.
