It’s been a long wait but RHA has finally announced its first pair of headphones with active noise cancelling (ANC). The TrueControl ANC will take on the AirPods Pro and other true wireless earbuds when they arrive next month.
RHA says the cutting-edge earbuds offer advanced adjustable active noise cancelling, sleek ergonomic design, advanced connectivity and 20 hours of total battery life. They follow on from the TrueConnect 2.
The main lure here is active noise cancelling and you can adjust how much you want via the Ambient mode. If you need to have a conversation or listen to an announcement then holding the left earbud will active Quick Aware, which pauses music and give you full ambience.
Even when you’re not using ANC, the headphones claim to offer great passive noise isolation. No less than seven pairs of RHA silicone and three pairs of aerospace-grade Comply Foam ear tips mean you will be able to get the right fit.
When it comes to audio quality RHA says that the EQ has been ‘meticulously tuned’ so music sounds ‘immersive and natural’ even with ANC on. The TrueControl support AAC and aptX codecs making them suitable for both iPhone and Android users.
Global Marketing Manager, Colum Fraser, said: “The TrueControl is our most ambitious and advanced product to date; the result of several years of research, investment and development. We believe that it sets a new standard in design, ANC and sound quality in the ANC true wireless segment.
Available to pre-order now, the RHA TrueControl ANC headphones cost £249.95/US$299.95 and will launch on 4 December (11 December in the US). However, anyone who pre-orders will get 20% off with the code ‘FIRSTLINE’.
