League of Legends: Wild Rift has been confirmed to come to iOS. This is the first time a game within the franchise has come to a platform outside of PC and Mac and is the first mobile game in the series.
The news was announced at Apple’s event on 13 October, during the unveiling of the iPhone 12 range. The game is an abridged version of the full PC version, League of Legends.
League of Legends: Wild Rift will also be coming to Android and has been played in closed Beta in Southeast Asia earlier this year on both OS platforms. The official release date for the game hasn’t yet been confirmed, but as it has been announced during the iPhone 12 launch, we imagine it will coincide with this – or release not long after.
Like the main game, players will be able to control a champion and battle against other teams, with the goal of destroying the opponent’s Nexus. Champions will gain XP the more they battle and will accumulate more items to help build up their level.
