To celebrate International Coffee Day 2020 (which is today, fact fans!), Currys PC World is starting a promotion that’ll run until 23 December. Buy a coffee machine from the retailer priced over £99 and you’ll have a one in twenty chance of getting it free.
Ordinarily, we’re not mad for promoting deals that involves a chance to win something but the odds are good for this one and if you’re planning to buy a coffee machine anyway – why not?
Here’s how to take part.
1. Buy a coffee machine priced at over £99 from Currys PC World online, in-store or via its call centre between 30 September and 11:59pm on 23 December. The product must still be over £99 once any discount is applied.
2. Between 32 and 42 days after your purchase, go to CurrysCoffee1in20 and enter your details and your receipt or order number.
3. Enjoy your new coffee machine while you wait to find out if it’s free.
If you’re thinking of buying, here are some coffee machine options to consider.
Smeg’s appliances are not only things of great beauty but solid under the hood as well. The ECF01RUK Espresso Coffee Machine is no exception.

It takes fresh ground coffee and ESE pods and will produce an excellent espresso. The appliance has 15-bar pressure and an inbuilt milk wand, so you can also make cappuccinos and lattes at home.
We are currently testing it and can say that it has considerably brightened up our mornings. It’s available in cream or black and is priced at £319.
If you prefer a lighter coffee, the Smeg DCF02WHUK filter coffee machine costs £179. It’s compatible with ground coffee and has a water reservoir of 1.4 litres. It’s available in black, white, cream, pastel blue, pastel green and red.

If you’d prefer a bean-to-cup machine, one of Currys PC World’s most popular options is Breville’s Barista Max coffee machine.

It has an integrated conical burr coffee bean grinder with 30 grinding settings (if you want to find out more about coffee grinders, here’s everything you need to know), 15-bar pressure, an integrated milk wand and can make two cups of coffee simultaneously.
It’s available from Currys for £379, down from £449, which is a saving of 16%.
And for a pod coffee option, Magimix’s Nespresso Vertuo Next & Milk coffee machine has a 1.1 litre tank and inbuilt milk frother. It’s available for £149, down from £229, which is over a third off. What’s more, when you buy, you can claim 50 coffee capsules, plus a two-month coffee subscription for free.
