Denon has announced that it’s DHT-S416 is its first soundbar with Google Chromecast built-in.
The feature allows users to wirelessly cast content from mobile devices to the soundbar from music streaming services like YouTube Music, Amazon Music HD, Spotify, Tidal and Deezer.
The Denon DHT-S416 is available this month priced at £299/€329 and can be purchased from authorised Denon retailers.
Music streaming is available in Hi-Res Audio for those with the right subscription plan. The DHT-S416 also supports multi-room due to Chromecast and can be grouped with other speakers that have the technology.
The soundbar itself boasts a slim 5.6cm tall design to sit underneath TVs neatly and contains a pair of oval full-range drivers as well as two 1in tweeters. A Dialogue Enhancer has three different modes and means you won’t be struggling to hear what’s being said in your favourite TV show or movie.
This is a 2.1 system so Denon includes a wireless subwoofer with a 5.25in driver and ported cabinet to handle the bass. The DHT-S416 also features HDMI ARC and three preset EQ options (Movie, Night and Music)
Denon says “the DHT-S416 can realistically simulate a multi-channel soundtrack played on a home theatre surround sound system, as well as delivering outstanding playback quality of music.
