TikTok has become something of a global phenomenon. The short-form videos of pranks, sketches, dances, food and pretty much anything else you can imagine have captured the hearts of its hugely enthusiastic users.
Even though it may be in a tense legal battle with President Trump and the US administration, its popularity among younger users remains unabated.
One cool feature is that the app allows people to download ‘TikToks’ to their phones, but these are usually accompanied by a watermark of the company logo. So, what if you want a video without the logo moving around?
No problem. We’ll show you how to download TikTok videos, with or without the watermark.
How to download TikTok videos with the watermark
TikTok videos are easily downloaded directly within the app itself. Simply find the video you want to keep, then tap the Share button on the right (the arrow) and select the Save video option.
It will now be downloaded to your phone, but you’ll need to tell TikTok where to store it. So, when the Share option appears again, tap the Other icon with three dots inside and select where you want to store the file, ie Google Drive, Photos, Secure Folder or wherever else you prefer.
How to download TikTok videos without the watermark
If you want to remove the TikTok watermark, then you’ll need to use a third-party app or service to handle the job. You can find many online, with some of the most popular we’ve come across being Musically Down, Downloaderi, and Snaptik. For this tutorial we’re using Musically Down, but the process is pretty much identical across the board.
On the TikTok app, find the video you want to download, then tap the Share button (the arrow icon). When the option menu appears, select Copy link.
Open a browser and go to www.musicallydown.com then where you see the Enter TikTok Video or Song Link here… option, tap and hold the screen until you see Paste appear, then paste the URL into the text field and press enter.
In a second or two you should see the screen bring up a preview of the video. When it does this, scroll down (avoiding the Sponsored Searches options) until you see Download MP4 Now. Tap this and your video will be sent to the downloads folder on your device, leaving the watermark behind.
