From today, Sky Q users will be able to get ROXi, a music service with over 55 million songs, music games, radio and karaoke. ROXi on Sky Q is available on a 30-day free trial, and after that costs £6.99 per month on top of the Sky Q subscription.
The service can be found by either using the voice remote and the commands “Open ROXi”/ “launch ROXi”, or by going to the Apps section of Sky Q. The ROXi music app joins the likes of Disney+, Netflix, YouTube and more on Sky Q.
ROXi includes playlists for various occasions, as well as ones from artists such as Robbie Williams and Sheryl Crow. There’s also 1000’s of radio stations to tune into, a duet karaoke option to sing along with famous musicians and ‘Sound Machine’ – an audio and visual program that’s geared for people looking for music to accompany yoga or meditation.
If you’ve got kids in your household, then ROXi also comes with ‘Family Protect’ – a feature which filters out explicit content and lyrics to avoid young people hearing anything inappropriate on the service.
Previously ROXi’s music service was only available on ROXi’s dedicated Music Entertainment Console – so Sky customers are the first users to get this service on a separate platform. If you’ve not yet got Sky Q, then you can sign up from £25 per month for 18 months on the Sky website.
