Apple’s AirPower might still be on the way, but Samsung has got there first with its Wireless Charger Trio.
Confirmed at its Life Unstoppable event as part of IFA, the device does exactly what the name suggests so is able to wirelessly charge three devices at the same time.
Samsung said it “recognised a need for a new charging station that can power up more of your devices simultaneously.”
Although the firm said it’s able to charge ‘compatible’ devices, it looks like you should be able to put most devices on.
The design shows the Wireless Charger Trio topping up a Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Buds Live headphones and a Galaxy Watch 3. There’s a dimple for the smartwatch, but others should fit.
It comes with USB-C to USB-C cable and comes in two colours: Black and White.
There are still questions to be answered though, as Samsung hasn’t mentioned what charging speeds the pad offers. That’s unlikely to be good news so could be limited to around 15W and may even get slower when three devices are charging.
We also don’t know when it will go on sale or how much it will cost. A similar device from Belkin costs £99 but Samsung could easily charge more.
The Wireless Charger Trio was announced alongside the Galaxy Tab A7, Galaxy A42 5G and Galaxy Fit 2.
