Amazon has kicked off its End of Summer Sale, and there are plenty of bargains to be had on everything from headphones to smartphones to laptops and much more. But, with so much on-sale, it’s easy to miss the real bargains, like the high-end 27in BenQ gaming monitor with £110 off its RRP.
The BenQ EX2780Q, aside from being a mouthful to say, offers high-end specs perfect for gamers and graphics designers in your lives, including a QHD wide resolution for detailed images, a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate to cram in those extra frames during intense gaming sessions and HDRi support to make the dynamic range pop too. It’s usually available for £469.99 on Amazon, but you can pick it up right now for £359.99 with free delivery.
It’s not a monitor we’ve reviewed ourselves, but with a four-and-a-half-star rating average over 1500 reviews, it ticks all the boxes for a lot of consumers. It should suit a range of setups too, offering two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort port and a USB-C port too. There are also built-in speakers, but given our experience with built-in speakers, you’d be better picking up a dedicated speaker.
There are a couple of things to note about the BenQ EX2780Q before you buy; it’s not 4K, it’s QHD (2560 x 1440) and although there’s a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate on offer, there is a slight 5ms delay, which is fine for most but may not be quick enough for pro-level gamers. For other great options, we’d recommend taking a look at the best gaming monitor.
