The existence of a cheaper Xbox Series S to launch alongside the Xbox Series X has seemingly been confirmed thanks to the leak of the next-gen controller and its packaging.
Someone on Twitter claimed to have bought the controller from a resale site, and The Verge says it has confirmed that it is genuine.
The controller is the same as the already-revealed black next-gen Xbox controller but in ‘robot white’ colour. Its packaging reveals that it is compatible with both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, as well as Xbox One, Windows 10, Android, and iOS.

Microsoft hasn’t confirmed a white Xbox controller for its new generation yet, let alone the Xbox Series S.
We reported in June that the company is expected to announce the Series S in August. If that turns out to be true, it looks like some stock of the controller got out early somehow.
