It’s no secret that Windows 10 is no longer reserved for traditional laptops and PCs, and Lenovo’s latest devices only serve to emphasise that.
The Chinese company’s big spring launch comes in the form of the Yoga Duet 7i, a 2-in-1 which bears more than a few similarities with the Surface Pro 7.
It’s the first Lenovo PC to come with a detachable keyboard, giving it the excellent flexibility that we have come to associate with Microsoft’s devices.
A vibrant 13in 2048×1080 screen, 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor and claims of more than 10 hours of battery life make it well suited for both work and play. Up to a 1TB SSD and 16GB of RAM should also mean performance isn’t an issue.
An adjustable kickstand ensures you can easily switch between laptop and drafting mode, with the latter supporting Lenovo’s E-Colour Pen.
Prices start at €1199, although a type cover and digital stylus is included in the price.
The other device to support such accessories is the IdeaPad Duet 3i, a more portable version that is primarily aimed at students. If the Duet 7i is a Surface Pro 7 rival, with a €429 starting price this is undoubtedly a competitor to the Surface Go 2.
Here, you get a 10.3in LCD display, alongside up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, although this is in the slower eMMC format.
The included kickstand also supports four modes – tablet, notebook, tent and stand – for ultimate flexibility.
Both the Yoga Duet 7i and IdeaPad 3i have optional support for 4G LTE, so you won’t have to rely on Wi-Fi to stay connected.
Another new addition to the Lenovo family is the second-gen Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus. While the name might not roll off the tongue, on paper it looks to offer excellent value for money.
This Windows tablet comes with a MediaTek Helio® P22 mobile processor and a new 10.6in display.
What’s more, its €229 price tag includes the Alexa-enabled Smart Dock, which transforms the tablet into Echo Show-style smart speaker. The ability to simultaneously charge the device means the expected 9 hours of battery life could easily become two days.
UK pricing for all three devices is yet to be revealed, but we’ll update this article closer to launch. The Yoga Duet 7i and Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus will be on sale in June, before the IdeaPad 3i arrives in July.
