At the beginning of this year Poco teased ‘Season 2’ implying it would launch a follow-up to the excellent Pocophone F1. What actually happened was the X2 in India but it now looks like an F2 will be launched after all.
The Poco X2 looks like an absolute bargain, but it seems unlikely that it will go on sale in the UK. The Pocophone F2 (possible just Poco F2) will be even better, going by leaked information.

Now separate from Xiaomi, Poco’s latest device will be based on the Redmi K30 Pro (pictured) which means it will be more expensive this time around. The Pocophone F1 was just £329 when it launched late 2018.
The Pocophone F2 is touted to be priced at €649 (£569 or US$715 if you convert it directly).
That’s a lot more but you should be getting a much more advanced smartphone. Specs like a pop-up selfie camera, quad rear cameras, Snapdragon 865 flagship processor and large AMOLED screen will see it compete with the likes of the OnePlus 8.
That price will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Stepping up to 8/256GB will reportedly cost €749.
Specs are just speculation for now but here’s what’s possible:
- 6.67in AMOLED screen, Full HD+, 60Hz, HDR10+
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
- 6/8GB of LPDDR5 RAM
- 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage
- 20Mp pop-up camera

- Video recording up to 8K
- 4700mAh battery
- 33W fast charging
- NFC
