Razer has tried to brighten our lockdown lives with special edition earbuds, though you’ll only be able to get them on sale in China. The Pikachu True Wireless Earbuds are yellowwith Pikachu logos on them and are charged via a very conspicuous Poké Ball charging case.
As pointed out by Engadget the headphones are basically a repackaged version of Razer’s Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds but with some pretty out-there redesign chops.
The button on the Poké Ball acts as a charge indicator while the Pikachu logos sit on top of a touch sensitive control pad. The buds are IPX4 water resistant so are good to go for exercising and light rain, and they have a low latency mode to aid competitive mobile gaming.
The buds should last three hours on a charge which is far from the industry’s best, but the charging case make sit 15 hours in total.
Apparently, the buds also talk back in Pikachu’s voice, which in this writer’s opinion is enough to steer clear, but each to their own. The buds will cost 849 yuan when they go on sale on 16 April.
