Apple is offering 90 day free trials of both its video editing Final Cut Pro software and its music production Logic Pro X software in the US. Final Cut’s trial is therefore boosted from 30 days, while Logic has never had a free trial (via The Verge).
The Final Cut Pro deal is live, with Logic Pro X to come soon. At the time of writing the offer is unfortunately only live for US customers.
An Apple announcement said, “We hope customers who are home and looking for something new to master will try out these free trials”.
It’s a good length of time to get your head around the software if you aren’t already familiar with it. It’s also a fine opportunity to judge whether or not you want to fork out for them after the trial period; Final Cut Pro is $299.99 while Logic Pro X is $199.99
