The PlayStation 4 has been one of the defining consoles of a generation, selling over 100 million units.
While its gaming capabilities are rightly revered, it’s equally adept as a home entertainment system. Sony has typically been quick to add streaming services as soon as it’s possible, with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and BBC iPlayer having been available for a number of years.
Disney Plus is another one of the apps to join the line-up – here’s how to download the app on your console.
How to get Disney Plus on PS4
You will need to sign up for Disney+ account before you open the app, so we’d recommend sorting that out on a mobile device or PC beforehand. It’s available for £7.99/$7.99 per month or £79.90/$79.99 for a whole year.
Once you’ve got that sorted, the process is incredibly simple:
- From the PS4 home screen, scroll across to the TV & Video folder
- Once you open this, the Disney+ app should be there marked as ‘New’
- Select this and there should be an option to install it on your console, provided you have enough free space
- Once the download has completed, open the app and sign in to start watching
That’s all well and good, but you might still be wondering what’s actually available on Disney+. The good news is that there’s a huge array of content, and we’ve picked out the best TV shows and best movies you can watch right now.
