Argos currently has a top deal that bundles Microsoft Office 365 Home with McAfee Total Protection for just £39.99. It’s ideal if you’ve just started working from home and need the software to get your home office up and running. Argos says its price has never been lower on this bundle, whether or not you believe that, it is clear that Argos’s deal is the cheapest around.
If you wanted to pick up a Office 365 Home subscription directly from Microsoft it would set you back £79.99 for a year of service, or £7.99 per month if you wanted to pay as you go.
Meanwhile, Amazon’s price for Microsoft Office 365 Home comes to a little over £56, which is still costlier than Argos’s deal and doesn’t include McAfee Total Protection. Separately, McAfee Total Protection costs at least £7.99 on Amazon, but that only covers one device – whereas the option from Argos covers six.
Total Protection currently sits in our top 5 of the best antivirus software, with robust antivirus, malware and cryptojacking protection. See our review.
Amazon does have the same MS Office and McAfee bundle that Argos is offering, but it is costlier at £69.99, despite being reduced from £126. It includes a two-month subscription to the Telegraph as well.
Argos’s deal is especially handy if you’re in a multi-member household as Office 365 Home accommodates up to 6 users with access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. Each user can install the software on up to 6 devices. PC users also get access to Publisher and Access.
The subscription includes 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage so you can collaborate online with colleagues working remotely. As an added bonus, the deal includes 60 minutes of Skype minutes.
