Does Birds of Prey have a post-credits scene?

Suicide Squad may have been a flop with critics, but it made absolutely silly amounts of money worldwide – and even its most ardent objectors had to admit that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn almost made the rest of the movie worthwhile.

That’s why it makes sense that the film’s first proper follow-up takes her as its lead, spinning off from the rest of the ‘Squad and into another group effort: the all-female Birds of Prey.

In Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (to give the film its wordier title) Quinn is joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary, and Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya as they take down Ewan McGregor and the rest of the patriarchy in an off-beat comic book movie that owes plenty to Deadpool, but still feels entirely like its own beast.

No spoilers yet, so you’re safe: we’ll just say that there is something at the very, very end of the credits for Birds of Prey, though it’s more of a joke than a set-up of any sequel. There’s isn’t anything in the middle of the credits though, so you’ve got to make it right to the end.

So what exactly is the post-credit scene? Well, it isn’t really a scene at all, it’s a voiceover. Make it to the end of the credits and Quinn will chastise you for bothering to sit around so long (naturally), before saying that maybe she’ll reward you after all, with a bit of a secret: “Did you know that Batman f–“?

And that’s it. It cuts off right there, leaving it to the worst of your imagination.

So yeah, no plot set-up, but it’s a fun joke. Worth it for the die hards, but most people will probably be happy to duck out when the credits start to roll.
