If you love coffee and haven’t yet made the step into the world of bean-to-cup machines, then you certainly won’t regret it. Sure, espresso machines are great, but a bean-to-cup takes the hassle out of preparing freshly ground coffee and is far less messy.
Delonghi is one of the go-to brands for bean-to-cup coffee machines and although the ESAM 4200.S is one of the entry-level models it’s a good’un and makes wonderful espressos as well as longer coffees.
The RRP is £299, which is already pretty low for this type of coffee maker, but this deal brings that down to £220.99, saving you £79.
That’s not quite the cheapest it has ever been, but if you’re after a deal right now and don’t want to wait to see if it will go lower after Christmas it’s a very tempting offer indeed, especially as it comes with a two-year warranty.
If you’re willing to take a bit of a risk, quite a few ESAM 4200s are also available from Amazon Warehouse for £185. They’re mostly customer returns in as-new condition, and still come with a year’s warranty.
As mentioned, it’s an entry-level model, but is still fully automatic. So once you’ve put beans in the hopper and water in the tank, all you need to do is press a button to make one or two espressos at the same time.
A steam wand allows you to quickly froth milk for a cappuccino or latte, and if you prefer an Americano, then simply pour the shots of espresso into hot water in a larger cup. However, a dial on the front lets you easily adjust how ‘long’ you want your coffee, so you’re not limited to espressos, and you can get hot water from the steam wand as well.
