Rumours that a new Need for Speed game is in the works have been swirling around the internet for some time, and following the reveal of a countdown on the Need for Speed website, it looks like it’s about to be officially revealed.
While not much is known officially about the game, a leak from an Austrian retailer suggests the upcoming title will be called “Need for Speed: Heat”. This was later backed up by another leak which appeared on Reddit, seemingly confirming the NFS: Heat branding. And, finally, YouTuber LP_RIPPER24 provided additional details about the game.
If YouTuber’s information is correct, Need for Speed: Heat is being developed by Ghost Games (the company behind Rivals, 2015 and Payback), offers an open-world to explore and boasts a uniquely 80s flavour.
Regardless, EA is about to reveal the game in all its glory, and the good news is that you can tune in and watch it live, as it happens. We’ve got all the details right here.
When is the Need for Speed reveal taking place?
The Need for Speed reveal is set to take place today, 14 August, at 2pm BST / 12pm CEST / 3am PT / 6am ET.
It’s certainly a late/early one for fans in the US, but after having to stay up until 3am in the UK during E3 2019, it’s hard for the Brits and Europeans to sympathise!
How can I watch it live?
The good news is that you’ll be able to watch the Need for Speed announcement via the official Need for Speed YouTube channel. The good news is that we’ve embedded the stream above, so simply head back here later today to watch the Need for Speed trailer reveal live!
