Xiaomi’s flagship phone family hit China in February and Europe in March. For some time you’ve been able to purchase Mi 10 and Mi 10 Lite SIM-free from the Mi Store or Amazon, but only now in August are contract options for the Mi 10 becoming available in the UK. Mi 10 Pro remains elusive.
The 8GB/256GB Mi 10 officially costs £799, but is currently down to £579 at Amazon, while the Mi 10 Lite is officially available from £249, but again is cheaper at Amazon. As always, even cheaper options are available if you’re willing to ship a global from China (see GearBest and Geekbuying, for example).
From 28 August, Mi 10 is additionally available at Three UK. You can buy it PAYG for £799, or take advantage of a range of contract options:
- Unlimited data and minutes: £53/month, six months half-price, £49 upfront
- 30GB data and unlimited minutes: £53/month, £49 upfront
- 12GB data and unlimited minutes: £49/month, £49 upfront
- 4GB data and unlimited minutes: £42/month, six months half-price, £49 upfront
We can’t help noticing Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have seen quite the price hike over their predecessors, with the Mi 9 available from £499, but this is explained by the addition of 5G connectivity and some hardware upgrades, including to the screen, the addition of a 108Mp camera, higher-capacity batteries and LPDDR5 RAM.
