RootMetrics, an independent firm that tests mobile network performance, has found the OnePlus 7 Pro to have the fastest 5G download speed.
When compared with rival phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, LG V50 ThinQ 5G and Oppo Reno 5G, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G proved it was the superior phone for 5G, achieving a peak download speed of nearly 700Mbps. In comparison to this, the Oppo and LG peaked at around 600Mbps and the Samsung just a mere 550Mbps.
The testing took place in Central London, predominately in St Paul’s. Other areas in which 5G is available, such as City of London, Kensington and Chelsea, Covent Garden, Soho, South Bank and Westminster, were also included in the testing. Using the EE network it was clear that the OnePlus surpassed all rival phones.
Having the fastest 5G is not the only perk of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. Its triple-lens camera allows you to capture crystal-clear photos, while a pop-up selfie camera at the front allows for a true all-screen display. With a fluid AMOLED screen that has a 90Hz refresh rate, the OnePlus appears smooth and reacts at an incredible speed to touch.
In fact, the phone is competitive in all areas – especially pricing, currently retailing at £649 in its entry-level configuration, which makes it much cheaper than its Apple and Samsung rivals. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is an EE exclusive – view the available plans here.
