Right now, you can catch a couple of fantastic discounts on Huawei phones. First, there’s £200 off the Mate 20 Pro at Currys PC World, then there’s £170 off an Honor View 20 bundle that includes the Band 3 fitness tracker.
The Mate 20 Pro, which retails at £899, is one of the best Huawei phones on the market, second only to the P30 Pro (see our round up of the best Huawei phones). It’s an excellent all rounder, according to our expert reviewers, with particular strengths residing in its cameras, screen quality, battery life and super-fast charging. See our full 4.5/5 star review.
Meanwhile, the Honor View 20 currently sits at the top of our round up of the best Honor phones, with a rating of 4.5/5 stars (both phone have received a ‘Tech Advisor Recommended’ badge from our editors). Apart from the View 20’s powerful performance, it offers an in-screen camera which cleverly does away with a notch. It has an RRP of £499 on the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage model, which is the version currently on offer at Honor, now just £399.99. This discount saves you £100 and the cost of the Honor Band 3 fitness tracker.
Should I still buy a Huawei phone?
You’re probably also wondering whether it’s smart to get a Huawei phone now, given that the US blacklisted Huawei, and Google has stopped its support for Huawei phones.
There is some relief however, as current Huawei phones won’t be affected by Google’s suspension of support ( read more on this here). The Mate 20 and Honor View 20 will continue getting security updates and access to Google apps and services. So while prices are low, this is an an excellent time to buy current top-tier Huawei phones, outside the US at least.
