Echo Dot 3, Amazon’s smallest smart home speaker, has an incredible discount right now. While it
costs £49.99 typically, for a limited time, new customers signing up for Amazon’s Music Unlimited Family Plan can pick it up for just 99p – making it a 98% discount.

Amazon’s Music Unlimited service, which promises access 50 million songs, is the retailer’s equivalent to Spotify. Spotify still dominates the global market share of music streaming, but Amazon sits at third-largest, after
Apple Music. The Echo Dot bundle mirrors Spotify’s bundle in March 2019 that gave away a
free Google Home Mini to new and existing Spotify Premium Family subscribers.
Amazon’s Family Plan, like Spotify’s, costs £14.99 per month, though
Amazon Prime members can get an annual subscription for £149 per year, which saves £30 from paying monthly. Amazon’s Music Family Plan can also be shared across six accounts, which in theory means you could share with friends and only pay £2.49 each per month (according to
Amazon’s FAQs, family plan accounts are not shared and there is no common family profile – the only requirement is members have to be at least 13 years old).
To get the Echo Dot 3 bundle deal, sign into Amazon and
go to Amazon’s dedicated page. Click “Get Started” to register for the promotional code. You should receive it within 7 days, and then be able to apply it to
the Echo Dot 3 at check-out.
If you’re currently on the
30-day free trial, you will have to wait until it ends and have become a paid member to qualify for the promotion. The deal ends at 9pm, 24 May and must be redeemed by 9pm, Friday 9 June, 2019.
