Amazon’s competitive deals on Surface Pro 6 devices often outdo Microsoft’s. Right now, you can save up to £305 on the Core i7 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This model has an RRP of £1,429 but the discount reduces the price to £1,124, undercutting Microsoft by £105 where it’s currently £1229.
You can also save up to £30 from Amazon when you choose Core i7 512GB model, though prices match on the 1TB model. We’ve summarized the prices and savings below:
Model Specs | RRP | Amazon’s price | Microsoft’s Price |
Core i7, 16GB, 1TB | £2149 | £1949 (£200 off) | £1949 (£200 off) |
Core i7, 16GB, 512GB | £1799 | £1569 (£230 off) | £1599 (£200 off) |
That doesn’t mean all Amazon discounts are better than Microsoft’s. Microsoft has thrown in the Type Cover detachable keyboard on two Core i5 models with 8GB RAM, clearly outdoing Amazon:
Bundle | RRP | Microsoft Price | Amazon Price |
128GB with Type Cover | £879 (tablet) plus £124 minimum (Type Cover) | £749 (£254 off) | £759 (Tablet only) |
256GB with Type Cover | £1,149 (tablet) plus £124 minimum (Type Cover) | £899 (£374 off) | £935.99 (Tablet only) |

Microsoft’s bundle price of £889 for the 256GB model price is especially impressive since you’re only paying £20 more than the RRP of the 128GB model, but getting a higher storage capacity and the Type Cover. Amazon’s price for the tablet with Type cover creeps up to £1,036.
You can pick up the same Type Cover bundle from Currys for £899 as well. The difference is buying from Microsoft allows you to choose the Type Cover style, and from the Marimekko Special Edition options (pictured below) at the reduced bundle rate.
