LG doesn’t like to keep secrets and tends to drip-feed details of upcoming products ahead of their launch. It’s an interesting tactic and it means that we already knew a lot of the key features of the G8 ThinQ.

The bad news is that, unlike Sony, Huawei and other companies, it didn’t stream the launch live from the MWC show in Barcelona. But we’re here to bring you videos that’ll give you a closer look at the two new phones, both from LG itself and from our team in Barcelona.

Last year LG launched the G7 ThinQ in May, so the G8’s unveiling comes just nine months later. One of the big new features is the Crystal Sound OLED screen which allows sound to be emitted through the screen itself.
This is paired with the Boombox technology from the G7 that uses all the empty space inside the phone as a resonance chamber for the speaker, which provides better all-round sound and can be placed on hollow objects or thin surfaces to amplify audio even more.
