Lenovo and Dell are both offering steep discounts on their laptop ranges for Valentine’s Day, with Lenovo offering up to £100 off its lines, and Dell up to £419. We’ve outlined what savings to expect on which models.
Dell Laptop Deals
Dell laptop deals span across the Inspiron 3000 range – both on the the 15in and 13in models. Also on sale are the Dell G3 and G5 15in gaming laptops and the XPS 13, New XPS 15 laptop and New XPS 15 2-in-1 laptop. The XPS 13 and XPS 15 are two of the best you can buy.

The New XPS 15 2-in-1 has the highest discount at £419.99 off the £2,918.99 RRP. We were impressed with it in our review, where it received 4 stars out of 5. The model on offer comes with 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD storage, and a Core i7 processor.
Of course, if you’re happy with lower specs for casual use, you can pick up the 15in Inspiron 3000 for £229, saving you nearly £70 off the £298.99 RRP. It offers 4GB RAM, 500GB storage and an Intel Celeron N4000 processor (up to 2.6Ghz in speed). Elsewhere this model costs around £279, so you’re still saving around £50 compared to market prices.

Lenovo Laptop Deals
Lenovo is offering up to 25% off its laptops, and also has a dedicated Valentine’s Day sale for accessories where you can save on mechanical keyboards and gaming mice.
The Ideapad 320, which also received 4 stars out of 5 in our review, offers specs comparable to Dell’s 15in Inspiron 3000. It is now available for £279.99, after a £70 discount. It comes with 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD storage and an AMD A6-9220 processor (2.5GHz). So while while you do get more storage the processor is marginally slower. Either models should be fine for casual, day-to-day use however.
The Ideapad 320 with a faster Intel Pentium processor sees £100 off at £299.99, with 16GB RAM and 2TB storage. See this deal here.
On the more premium side, the 13in Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1 laptop has £100 off; the model comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, bringing the price to £899.99. We did spot John Lewis has the same model available for £879.95, but Lenovo’s deal includes the Active Pen stylus ( worth £75).
It’s always a good idea to compare the model you’re interested in against the price on other retailers like Amazon or Laptops Direct (which has it’s own sale on now). Remember to compare specs such as processing speeds, HD storage and RAM, as well as release year (sometimes a newer version will keep the same model name, though it may have better specs).
