Not only is the build quality likely to be quite poor on headphones with an RRP of £30 or less, but they’ll also offer a bad audio experience that we’re sure you’ll want to avoid. There are still some decent cheap pairs from the likes of Sony and Philips though.

Headphones deals: What to look for
Headphones can cost anywhere from £5 to £500+ depending on your needs and budget. Whatever you’re listening to is the same but spending a bit more can drastically improve the comfort and quality of your listening experience.
Whether on-ear, in-ear or over-ear, there are some great audio bargains to be had. Though remember that headphones are discounted all year, so make sure you don’t buy just for the sake of it.
Make sure you do a bit of research and pick out what you’d like to save money on, particularly with Beats; there are so many different models that what looks like a good deal could be a lower priced item with not much money off its normal, lower RRP.

When is Black Friday 2020 – should you wait for a better deal?
Black Friday will take place on Friday 27 November, immediately followed by Cyber Monday on 30 November. Traditionally the biggest sales event of the year, it may yet throw up some even greater tech deals – but with so much uncertainty around finance and retail, and no guarantees regarding what discounts we will see, we advise you not to wait: if you see a deal you like, on a product you need, and you can afford the outlay, buy it today.
