OnePlus’ rise has been fast, and it shows no signs of stopping. Tech Advisor has uncovered an image and, sharing exclusively, can reveal a potential invite-only event on 19 September involving French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in Paris.
Details are scarce, but it calls to mind the company’s 2016 collaboration with Colette, a high-end Parisian concept store. It produced a very limited run of Colette branded OnePlus 3T phones in Midnight Black colours.
This flyer suggests de Castelbajac’s distinctive design style will be involved, with his logo in the eye of the woman opposite OnePlus’.
Its message is cryptic: “When the style meets its machine, one night in September in Paris…”.
The mention of ‘machine’ means it could possibly be a phone, but OnePlus is keeping tight-lipped on the matter. We are waiting to hear more from the company, and will let you know more when we hear it.
Suffice to say it’s a company that has built unprecedented excitement around its phone launches, with the recent OnePlus 5 already out in a limited Soft Gold edition.
