Since its release in 2003, Love Actually has become widely celebrated as the ultimate Christmas rom-com. Figures this year have suggested that it’s the UK’s favourite Christmas film.
The 2hr 25m classic follows as ten separate stories unfold in the last few weeks before Christmas, with a lot of funny moments, several happy endings and a few surprises along the way.
A star-studded cast includes Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson and Rowan Atkinson. Here’s how to watch Love Actually online or on any mobile device.
Watch Love Actually free on broadcast TV
If you’re in the UK, Love Actually will be shown twice over the Christmas period on ITV. You can watch it first on ITV2 on Tuesday 21 December at 9pm (then on ITV2+1 at 10pm). It’ll be shown again on ITV on 25 December at 10.40pm (then again on ITV+1 at 11.40pm).
Stream Love Actually free online
If you’re in the UK and have a Netflix subscription, you can watch Love Actually free as part of your service. The same is true for Amazon Prime members. If you’re not a member, you can sign up for Prime to enjoy it.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be available on Netflix in the US this year.
Buy or rent Love Actually in a digital format
Love Actually is also available to buy in digital format. In the UK, you can buy the film digitally in HD for £3.99 from Amazon or iTunes.
If you’re in the US, you can rent it from $3.99 and buy from $9.99 from iTunes, the Google Play Store and Amazon.
Buy Love Actually on DVD, Blu-ray and even VHS
In the UK, Love Actually is available on DVD from Amazon, where it costs £4.99. If you’re subscribed to Amazon Prime, it’s also eligible for free next-day delivery. Amazon also has the Blu-ray copy for £23.99, and even a used VHS tape for £5.75.
In the US, Amazon has it on a number of formats: DVD, Blu-Ray and VHS, from $7.99 upwards.
Rent Love Actually on DVD
In the UK, Love Actually can also be found at DVD rental subscription service Cinema Paradiso. After a free 14-day trial, subscriptions start at £9.99 per month for unlimited discs per month (although only one at a time, which will seriously limit your volume).
Happy festive viewing!
