Sony is going to launch its PS4 “major” system update but it keeps everything under wraps.
However some lucky ones who signed up for the PlayStation 4 system software beta could be selected to become testers.

The beta program will start on 2 September 2015, but more information will be given to the testers on the upcoming weeks.
Sony doesn’t guarantee that everyone who signs up will join the community. Only a “limited number” of PS4 lovers will have the privilege to try in advance the major system update.

Note that in order to sign up you need a PS4 system and a PSN master account on PS4, which can be freely activated on your Sony Entertainment Account if you’re 18 or over. If you don’t have a Sony Entertainment Account, you can easily create one on the
Sony Entertainment Network webpage.

1. Follow this
link to get to the Sony website page were you can sign up as a PS4 software beta tester
2. Type in the bar provided your Sign-In ID, which is the E-mail address that you provided when you created your Sony Entertainment Account, and the password of your Sony Entertainment Account Sony
3. Click on ‘Sign in’ and you’ll arrive at the Enrolment Form
4. Here you need to read the Private Beta Trial Agreement and, if you are happy with it, tick the box beside ‘Yes’
5. Click on ‘Submit”
And now cross your fingers!
