Black Friday is the perfect time to shop for technology as you can often find excellent discounts on top brands like Apple and Samsung.
This extends to smartwatches, which have got very good in recent years by offering notifications on your wrist with the convenience of also tracking your daily exercise metrics.
They’re expensive though – which is why Black Friday, which is on Friday 24 November 2023, is one of the best times to snap up a smartwatch for less than the usual price.
Cyber Monday will extend the deals period to 27 November 2022, but some sales will start earlier in November.
Both in the US and UK there are tons of deals for smartwatches at superb prices. That doesn’t mean every sale item is a good deal though. Sometimes retailers offer tiny discounts and makes them look better than they are, or they sell at a sale price which is either not as low as a competitor or, worse, not as low as it has been sold for earlier in the year.
The Apple Watch remains one of the most popular smartwatches for good reason, but it is often not discounted – or at least the latest model isn’t.
If you don’t mind buying last year’s model instead then you could be in luck. We’ll only include Apple Watch deals below that are genuinely good.
We’ll also only include actually decent smarwatches in the first place. That’s why you can expect to see deals on Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Garmin, and Fitbit dominate or choices – we won’t show you good deals on bad products.
We’ve separately rounded up the best smartwatches on the market in our chart. You can also check out other top Black Friday deals on right now in our Black Friday deals hub.

What to look out for
All the deals we list in this article have been chosen by editorial staff at Tech Advisor because we believe they are genuinely good deals. We won’t list discounts that are very small, or products we don’t think are good.
It’s tempting to buy something just because there is a little bit of money off – so you should ask yourself if it’s a smartwatch you would be willing to pay full price for, or have wanted for a while. It’s one thing to save money on something you have wanted, it’s another entirely to spend hundreds on something on a whim.
It’s worth using a price checking site such as PriceSpy in the UK to see if what you’re about to buy has been cheaper in the past or is cheaper elsewhere.
In the US or UK you can also use CamelCamelCamel, the free Amazon price trackers, to see if the saving on the item you want is legit, or if a retailer is trying to make it look like a better deal than it is. Unfortunately it is common for retailers to raise the price right before Black Friday so they can then put it down and claim a discount.
